For almost a century, the AGBU SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM has championed the higher education of tens of thousands of promising young Armenian university students enrolled at some of the world’s top-ranked universities.
Annually, we award over $1 million USD to young adults pursuing their undergraduate and graduate degrees in nearly 40 countries across 6 continents. With that financial assistance, students with great potential but limited resources are able to engage in specialized fields of education, such as law, medicine, the performing arts and religious studies, and later establish
The AGBU SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM is made possible by the many benefactors and donors who have established endowments since the 1920’s, or have contributed over the years. Because of their generosity, we are able to provide students with the support they need to succeed at each stage of their education.
Today, through added focus on specialized fields of study, the AGBU SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM offers financial assistance to a broader range of Armenian students across the globe.
Eligibility:
graduate students of Armenian descent worldwide (excluding citizens of Armenia studying in Armenia) who are pursuing religious studies (theology, youth ministry).
Applicants must be enrolled in full-time degree programs at seminaries or highly selective colleges/universities worldwide
Have a GPA of 3.0 and above as measured by the American grading system scale.
Scholarship Worth:
Grants of up to $5,000 USD are awarded annually, and are available for a maximum of three (3) years toward seminary/college/university education expenses.
