18 Postdoctoral Fellowships at Gran Sasso Science Institute in Italy-2017 apply now

Applications are invites at Gran Sasso Science Institute, School of Advanced Studies for 18 postdoctoral fellowships in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Social Sciences. The research grants are awarded for two years and their yearly amount is € 36.000,00 gross.

The GSSI aims to create a new center of scientific excellence in L’Aquila fostering the skills and highly specialized structures already present in the area, such as the Gran Sasso National Laboratories of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) and the University of L’Aquila, facilitating the attraction of high-level resources in the fields of natural and social sciences.

The Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) is an international PhD school and a centre for research and higher education.

Course Level: Fellowships are available for pursuing the postdoctoral programme.

Study Subject: Fellowships are awarded in the field of Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Social Sciences.

Scholarship Award: The research grants are awarded for two years and their yearly amount is € 36.000,00 gross.

Number of Scholarships: There are 18 fellowships available.

Scholarship can be taken in Italy

Eligibility: There is no age limit for applicants; however they must have earned their doctoral degree not earlier than the date specified in the call for applications. Candidates who are preparing their doctoral thesis are eligible to apply; however, they must have obtained their Ph.D degree before taking up their appointment with GSSI.

Nationality: Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply.

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must hold a PhD degree or an equivalent qualification.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: A good knowledge of English is required.
